Shawn Thompson, a Publix Super Market Deli Employee and avid supporter of the United Way, was surprised to win a brand new 2010 Honda Insight Hybrid, donated by The Holman Automotive Group, for her contributions to United Way of Broward County. For the last 15 years, Holman Automotive Group has donated a new car to the United Way of Broward County's annual campaign, to encourage and reward donors for their contributions. "It feels good to win something. Every year I get the raffle tickets for donating to United Way, but I never thought that I would win. I just gave to help others," said Shawn Thompson.
An annual contributor, who donates a minimum of $260 per year, is eligible to win a new car at the end of each campaign season. In addition to the 15 years of providing United Way Supporters a chance to win a new car, Holman Automotive Group employees also support the cause of The United Way of Broward County through sponsorships, volunteer work, and helping with campaigns.
